Dear Candidate,
We are looking for a motivated Purchase Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring engineering materials, equipment, and services to support production and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for raw materials, components, and engineering services.
Review purchase requisitions and prepare RFQs (Request for Quotation).
Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts with vendors.
Ensure timely procurement of materials as per production requirements.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores and production departments.
Prepare and maintain purchase orders, records, and related documentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and cost objectives.
Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, or invoicing.
Support cost reduction initiatives and alternate vendor development.
Maintain vendor database and establish long-term supplier relationships.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Knowledge of engineering materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Good understanding of procurement procedures and supply chain management.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP/Tally/Oracle, etc. preferred).
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Background:
1–2 years of experience in purchase/procurement in a manufacturing/engineering industry.
Educational qualification: Diploma or B.E. (Mechanical Engineering).
