We are hiring for Mechanical Draughtsman for Thane Company below is the JD:-
Core Responsibilities
Detailed Equipment Drafting: Create General Arrangement (GA) and detailed fabrication drawings for petrochemical equipment, including pressure vessels, reactors, columns, heat exchangers, and atmospheric tanks (API 650).
Piping & Layout Design: Prepare piping isometrics, equipment layouts, and plant arrangements.
Material Take-off (MTO): Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and summarized project-wise BOQ requirements to assist the procurement department.
Plate Development: Perform complex plate development for DishedEnds, Toricones, offset nozzles, and involute sections for fabrication accuracy.
Design Revision: Update and revise 2D drawingsbased on engineering feedback, site measurements, or client comments.
Standard Compliance: Ensure all drawings adhere to international codes such as ASME (for pressure vessels) and ISO, as well as Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues and ensure design release follows project schedules.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
Education: A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an ITI in Mechanical Draftsmanship is typically required.
Software Proficiency: 2D/3D CAD: Expert knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Inventor.
Domain Knowledge: Sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles, material properties (e.g., stainless steel), and manufacturing processes like Cutting, Forming, Welding and sheet metal fabrication.
Precision: Strong attention to detail and mathematical abilities for accurate dimensioning and tolerance application.
Work Experience
MIn 3 years fulltime experience in AutoCAD drafting domain of an Engineering Fabrication industry .
SALARY RANGE: upto 4.5 lacs annual CTC
